老人跌倒難痊癒 友善指標可防摔
【台灣醒報記者許瑋哲台北報導】「室內有無高低差」、「地面材質防滑易清潔」及「浴室穩固扶手」等為友善長者居住空間指標。老人福利推動聯盟秘書長吳玉琴14日表示，很多老人會因高低落差或過滑的地板摔跤。藝人郎祖筠擔心，現在很多老人家中的空間有許多不友善的地方，包括漏水、房屋破洞、沒有熱水及高低差等，影響健康照護。
老人福利推動聯盟14日舉辦「老人居住環境修繕」記者會，吳玉琴表示，「室內有無高低差」、「全室光線明亮清晰」、「家具以輕便組合為主，忌笨重」、「地面材質防滑易清潔」、「室內動線淨空」及「浴室穩固扶手」為友善長者居住的6大指標，民眾可以檢視自家環境。
「很多家庭喜歡用大理石的地板，但是這種地板防滑性不夠，非常容易讓老人跌倒，」吳玉琴表示，很多長者上廁所時，若有扶手在一旁，他們起來時有東西攙扶著，也比較不容易跌倒。房間室內也應明亮，有些老人會為了省電只開著小燈，這樣就很容易沒注意到腳下的門檻或者是高低差。」
吳玉琴強調，「長者復原速度比年輕人慢，跌倒後往往需要較長時間才能復原，所以跌倒也會導致長者的身心上退化變快。」她強調，很多老人因為跌倒臥病在床，之後產生了害怕再度跌倒的心魔，反而不敢再行動，導致肌力不斷的衰退。
台塑企業總管理處總經理王瑞瑜表示，台灣老年人口數已攀升至總人口數的12%，已經步入老人化社會，而跌倒一直是造成老人發生意外及身體功能退化的主要原因。她強調，很多老人會因害怕跌倒，而限制了自己的活動環境，這樣反而退化的更快。
郎祖筠強調，現在很多居住在偏遠地區的老人們，他們的房子往往不是漏水、破洞，不然就是他們都沒有熱水澡可以洗，這樣的居住環境堪憂。目前台塑已經與老盟合作，推動房屋修繕計畫，目前已經修繕了410戶房屋，期望未來能越修越多。
